Just taken me 2 and a half hours to do my 25 miles to work (on a bike). To say ive had enough of my most hated road in the entire world (and its occupants) would be a very large understatement.

One of those long car transporters caught fire just after potters bar on the anti-clockwise and effectively ruined everyone’s day.

To top it off I got a slow puncture, then lost trying to go round the back way to Hemel, where I ended up in High Barnet and then back at Enfield where I left the motorway. :-??

Hot, sticky, pissed off and aching like a bi-atch.

I think its time to start looking for work back in the other hell hole. :jaded: :puke1:

    Quite a commute there red...

Hope the nice lady opposite doesn't improve your day and make too many personal calls this morning, so you don't end up on the 10 o'clock news having had to "deal with" problematic people in the workplace...

Take the twisty route home (calmly) away from the car park and the world will seem a better place. Hopefully...

Here you go red - hopefully your day can't be as bad as the driver of this lorry... Went past on my lunchtime cycle to blow raspberries at the KTMs at the top of the Taff trail...

This lunchtime today, World Cup game (wales one to boot) this afternoon - I'm staying off the roads as much as possible!

How does a car catch fire when it's on the back of a transporter? :?

  9. My day was a 520 mile round trip to Alnwick. Was in the car and was really lucky with traffic. Dead on 4 hrs to get there and 4hrs 10 mins to get back. Tired eyes now though

So im about half a mile away from getting off the m25 this morning and I hear blues and twos behind me. Pull over and out steps some rasping fat shitbag asking me why I was gesticulating at a lorry driver. No idea what you’re talking about mate, I was gesticulating at the overhead sign that was reducing everyone to 40 when there’s fuck all there. Same as it does every day.

What’s your problem with that then?

Well it makes my life a misery when all the usual shiutbags grind to a halt for nothing whatsoever and start cutting lanes and obviously being on a bike it makes me feel vulnerable.

Do you know what he said to me next?

“SIMPLE, DONT RIDE A BIKE THEN”!!!

I asked him if he was taking the piss and I think he could see he’d touched a nerve. Cheeky f*cking prick who the f*ck does he think he is telling people what they should and shouldn’t be using to get to work? No wonder so many people despise them.

Anyway got a producer saying my insurance hadn’t come up on their system and they left me standing there for 45 minutes on the hard shoulder the bad gang of pricks. :tosser:

  13. I had a copper pull my over in car as a teenager because front fogs were on. It was late at night and had been foggy from where I had come from (and as a teenager you thought it was cool). Anyway when I said they were on because it was foggy from where I had been he said well doesn't the light show they are still on. To which I advised him there was not warning light for the front ones. He poked his head in car and then said well you should buy a different car! Just like you Red, what the fuck has it got to do with them what car I drive

  16. Like the way that they said it took long time to locate him. That road is popular biking route that I have used myself. Accident happened around 4.00 pm on Sunday just as the football was starting and us bikers are a waste of space so wait until full time and he might be dead by then so we have one less on the road! Remember our police deserve our full respect

Over 2 and a half hours to travel 25 miles home last night. All because of those absolute dickheads at the highways agency (sorry their "automated computers" )

A car had broken down just before Junction 26. It wasn’t even on the motorway the driver had managed to veer it up a grass verge.

Instead of allowing the traffic to flow freely and smoothly around it they decided to block off the inside 2 lanes.

    The result?

    A tailback almost 15 miles.

Can someone explain what the actual point of spending billions of pounds widening the motorway was if you’re then going to see that much carnage cos of ONE broken down vehicle?

    Absolute fucking cretins.
