I’ve got these spare forks for sale, They’ll be better suited to a trackbike as they have some cosmetic damage. They’ve been serviced by k-tech at BSB oulton park & haven’t been used since. They are 100% straight with no rust or pitting to the chrome that road bikes suffer from. The right hand mudguard mount has been straightened as you can see in the pics. I thought that was the difference between the 06-08 forks & the 08-12 forks that you have listed mate.? I was under the impression that the caliper mounts were different.
The change to the calliper fitting for the 09-12 was a small dowel insert to align the callipers. People swop the later callipers onto the earlier forks without issue so I don’t see that doing it the other way around would cause any problems. Tbf theirs a guy meant to be collecting these tonight now anyway. If you do need a set of 06-08 forks then Pm me mate as I’m about to list a set too & if their going to one of my oldest friends on here then I’m sure the price will be right
Can you give me some insight into the dowel? Is it just an aluminum spacer? Do you know that part number? I crushed one of mine by using the wrong torque setting. Photo of uncrushed one
It’s just a locating dowel for the calipers, they aren’t essential and plenty of racers don’t use them
