Discussion in 'General' started by neil123456, Jun 21, 2015.

  1. I got a set of these put on for the tt, they were very good.

that being said however the guy who was fitting them said I should have got the cheaper and better Dunlop sportsmart 2s

His opinion, I'd have the M7RR's were all different.

I've just brought a set of M7RR of Oponeo, I have no idea why I didn't know about this site, brilliant prices.

Just had a look at a set of sportsmart 2 and they come out at £182 which is £14 more than a set of M7RR

Yea that won't be a problem at all, they should be with me next week and if possible get fitted that weekend. When I have them on I will do that.

I've done the mountain section on these tyres. Hoping to go back there this September.

None at all, they're pretty much good to go. I've ridden new ones in the wet.

They blow them out of the mould using air so they're clean when you use them. Treat them like any tyre - get some heat in them and they're fine.

Ok Shaun, not especially for you, but to reassure Neil also he's made good choice!! These now, by the end if the week will have done 5,700 miles or so...I commute up down motorway, mainly but also have gone round tripping on them (so to speak, give up the drugs, kids)...

I reakon they'll easy see another 2,500 before the rear will be flattening off too much to be comfortable.??? I'm still not enjoying them like the sc's but they're a stunning all rounder.

Well I'm not shy of giving them a good ride, but I agree when I took the pic I thought same! So you reakon further than 2,500? I've always been told to change them as pairs but I may just swap back and keep front.

see how you go mate, can you feel any squaring off now?

fwiw i get around 8-9k on the s20 and thats in the winter when you cant use the side so much to un-square them

  17. I think my m7rr have benefited from the rain. Awesome grip on very wet roads and even better in the dry.

    Thank you Emma for that.

I had mine fitted 2 weeks ago and was looking forward to taking it out today...

Walked into the garage and my new front M7RR had a flat tyre, I mean 0 PSI. When they were first fitted the bike stood for a week a was fine, took it out for a little ride with no issues, however left standing this past week and completely deflated.

Looks like I have a slow puncture so I'm not happy, think may have to buy another front.

Hoping it may be the valve or a fitting issue though, however I don't think it is as for the first week they held their pressure fine
