Have to say, that I've known about this for about 24hrs now, and I'm still at the wow, no way, oh jees, bloody hell, no, seriously? and this can't be right stage. . .

It just seems so hard for me to take in, I only knew Emma-Lou through the forum, we met on the fests, and she came to the forum track day earlier this year, we swopped PM's and the odd message, and that was my contact with her.

What I learnt about Emma-Lou was that she had a wicked sense of humour, some very odd food combinations preferences and a very a cheeky face. She had humility, and a calmness about her, she was a joy to have met, get to know, and call a friend.

To say that she will be missed doesn't do her justice, she was a really lovely person, I hope she's up there, telling people how it is, and how fab her matte finish paintwork looks.

She must be the only person I know, who cleans other people's bikes with wet wipes, for something to do, while it was raining, yep, that was Emma-Lou

Thoughts and condolences to her husband and family xx

A photo of Emma-Lou looking as she did x

That's terrible, she was obviously a valued member of the forum and I can really feel the sense of loss reading your posts. :(

  4. I never had the privilege to meet Emma-Lou. We had been trying to arrange a ride out this summer as she is local but you know, life, work and other things that seemed important at the time always got in the way. Life can be cruel and this just goes to show you have to live your life and not just let it pass you by.

From the PM's we sent, I could tell she was a lovely person with a heart of gold who would make time for anyone and as such I'm devastated that I never got to meet her.

My deepest condolences go out to her husband and all of her family at this tragic time .

  6. Oh this is really awful. I'm so very sad to hear this... Emma and I got chatting at the Cadwell trackday this year and she was so kind in approaching and saying hi. Since then we exchanged some chats and were trying to meet up for a coffee with the other local lads from the trackday.

I'm just devastated to loose someone who obviously touched so many people's lives.

Emma said to me she was a really shy lady and found it difficult in some social situations, she also spoke a lot to my friend who was in the wheel chair and I believe went on to go and support at one of the events (or at least planned too). Just a lovely person and all the very best to all those around her. I'm finding myself shed a tear for someone I met for a day or so, honestly I think that says it all.

Not wishing to tread on toes with this, but, and if anyone has already mentioned this i'm sorry, but is there any sort of remembrance tribute going to be paid to Emma Lou, I was thinking of a meeting of fellow bikers on this forum paying our last respect to Emma Lou in the form of a motorbike cavalcade following behind the funeral procession, I understand this may sound a bit raw, I for one cannot get my head around the fact she will not be able to grace us with her presence anymore, but, I think it would be a good send off, and show just how many friends she had, both new and old................Here's to Emma Lou, may you remain in our hearts.

    Paul.

I'm with you Paul, would certainly like to be a part of a gathering of remembrance for Emma. If her family feel that they don't want us there on her day of rest which would be completely understandable, then maybe we could all arrange to meet up and have a ride of respect for her

Naturally her family would have to say if we would be welcome, as I posted I was only lucky enough to be in her company for a weekend, but it felt we had know each other for longer.....I know of another forum member who is up for a meeting to pay our respect.

I attended a funeral procession for a 13 year old boy the other week. The bikes followed the hearse to the crematorium then rode through the gardens and waited outside so the friends and family could see the bikes. None of us went in to the crem and the family were grateful that so many bikes turned up out of respect. I understand what you're saying though

About a dozen of us followed a friends coffin last year down London, Mill Hill. He passed away from a heart attack, his family was greatful for the turnout for him.

It's early days people, some families would, and some wouldn't. Let's hang fire.

I'm sure we can sort something now, or moving forward, that will befit Emma-Lou's memory, and how she has touched so many of us, often in such a short amount of time spent with her.

Special people can do this, Emma was this person.
