Hi all,I’m Michael. Finally joined on here after many months viewing as a visitor.
My first big bike(passed my test in Aug last year)so only got a handful of rides in before it went into hibernation.Ive added a few more bits of carbon since I took the photo.

Thanks everybody for the warm welcome.
It’s an 09 plate,I need to tidy a few areas up on the bike(and purchase more carbon!!).But I’m getting there with it.
The Daytona was on a shortlist of potentials when I was looking round, but when this one came up one owner and just under 3000 miles on the clock I had to have it....and it is lovely in red(and the fastest!)

You’ve got me looking at my mudguard now, wondering what the differences are.

  8. Congratulations on passing you're test and having great taste in bikes:D
Just check that the time dependent services are up to date and haven't been skipped because of the low mileage, such as coolant and brake fluid.
If you're thinking of further mods then I would suggest a tail tidy and single seat pad to finish off the back end nicely, you can also get blanks to cover the pillion peg holes or just buy some plastic hole plugs from eBay.
Would also recommend some tank pads, I have techspec snakeskins which I think look more OEM than the clear "bobbly" type.
Remember to take it steady when spring finally arrives, we all get rusty after a winter break, more so if you've just passed you're test.

    Thanks WobblyB’.
Service history is good, not fastidious but I’m happy with what’s been done over the years.
I had it delivered to my local shop for servicing just to be sure everything was ok before I started riding it.
Had them fit the Arrow can while it was there.Sounds lovely.
It was completely standard when I got it.The photo above is the only decent one I’ve taken thus far.Theres been a few more mods since:D
    So far I’ve added....
    The Arrow can
    Carbon front and rear mudguards
    Carbon chain guard
    Carbon rear footrest blanks
    Single seat unit
    Carbon exhaust shield.

And ready to go on(when spending more than half an hour in the garage doesn’t result in frozen fingers!haha)
    Tail tidy
    Carbon front air vent
A replacement right hand panel(the more eagle-eyed might spot the scuffs)
    Spare header with decat.

Thanks for the heads up on the season starting. So far I’ve been fairly steady in terms of opening her up.Almost riding like I’ve still got the instructor behind me.
I spend a lot of time cycling(hope I don’t get any haters for that confession...bloody cyclists!haha).Ive had moments riding the push iron so I’m all too aware of how things can quickly change around you.

Hi Michael, welcome to the forum and top work on buying a stunning Daytona!
Make sure to post up some pictures of your carbon fiber, I bought some infill panels from jap4performance which are lovely and a triumph carbon rear hugger on mine.

Thanks for the reminder Jimbo, when writing my list of mods I’d forgotten about the infill panels(hangs head in shame)
Been out for a couple of hours today so it’s a bit dirty.

Welcome in. Great to see new members. Good choice of bike...even if we are a little biased here! Hope she brings you brings you lots of top fun.

  15. Bikes looking spot on now, nice to see somebody else who knows how to keep a bike cleano_O
If you've still got the modding bug how about a quick shifter and a 1050 throttle tube.

Thanks Wobbly,it was only a quick clean.
I’ve yet to attack her with a thorough detail yet.My supplies are diminished...I need a shopping trip.
I did find myself staring at the bike afterwards, just admiring.

The quick shifters definitely on the ever growing list.Whats peoples thoughts on using the Triumph part or going aftermarket?

Ive used the triumph quickshifter over about 10,000 miles and found it to be absolutely faultless once the shiftrod length is set correctly with the kill time at approximately 65m/s.
