I have 2009 treet triple and I'm buying a 2011 daytona engine in a week or two and from what I have heard it's a straight forward swap. Using the ECU from the stripe and tune ECU. I've also heard there are a few sensors to switch. Just wondering if this is correct or if there will be mounting issues. I will be using the daytona headers with my slip on comp works muffler, will this lead to issues? Thanks in advance for any answers

Hopefully you'll get a reply from @In the mix , @oldgit or someone else who's done similar.

I see you've got the exhaust headers covered. - you'll be losing some of the benefit of the daytona engine with the ST ECU, but I guess it should work easier.
I don't know about the sensors, but would guess you would just use the old ST ones? unless any come with the Daytona engine?

Can't think you will have mounting issues, but I'm not sure.

what happened to the ST engine?

  3. The engine will drop straight in with no issues. The str ecu can be used with the Daytona engine but will need the revs raising and a Daytona map loading via tune ecu. Dependant on years of the engines, some connectors may be different (cps is one from memory). The only thing Im not 100% sure about is the injectors and whether they are the same across the 2. Might be worth checking part numbers on the Fowlers website. Good luck
