Hi everyone, I'm Phil if you didnt guess I have been back riding bikes since 1989 after a 12 year break. I have just bought my first Street Triple (675) and was lucky to find a 2016 bike with just 1 mile on the clock. Pre reg December 2018, absolutely love it and cant wait to get some miles done, just need some time. My 2nd bike is a KTM Superduke GT which I bought Jan 2018 (one of the cheap pre reg bikes), I pxd my long term S1000RR for the KTM which is one hell of a great bike. Previous Bikes include 2011 Tiger 1050, BMW 2010, 2006 Blade, 2004 Blade, 954 Blade 2002, Honda SP1 (2000), 3 x ZXR750's 1 x Zx7R, CBR600 1994, CBR1000, GS700, GS550 and Yamaha FS1E. Welcome in Phil954. Good to have you on board. I'm also thinking about getting a superduke gt so may well pick your brains at some point. Sounds like you found a couple of great deals there.
Good to see a few owners from Essex on here,, where did you buy your bikes from? I bought mine from the now new Triumph Essex after Ongar sold out to Lings of Suffolk and Norfolk.
I bought mine from Ongar..ten years ago! For £6100. Gawd... inflation has not been kind! Nice part of the world. There's a few members down that way.
Have you got a Daytona? I fancied a new one about 5 years ago but the trade in price for my S1000RR was stupid low.
Well booked in today. £205 for an annual service. That's more than Laguna is advertising.. (Annual Service£189). https://triumph.laguna.co.uk/pages/service/fixed-priced-servicing.htm No loan bike etc offerd. As it's the last year in warranty by two weeks. It's going to be it's last at that price..
Mmm, they quoted me £230 for the annual/6K service which I thought was a bit strong, I will decide later whether to take it to my local tech but use genuine parts.
A friend of mine is selling his GT, its a pre reg on 67 plate with a few extras. Will be a bargain at £10K.
