I did give it some beans on the way home from work but does this mean it's over inflated? I can't say I've noticed this before on previous bikes.

  2. Could be hot or cold tear, what pressure are you running cold?

is it a very soft compound on a hot day ?

  5. I doubt it’s over inflation, I’ve run 42 front and rear on the road and done spirited rides and the tyres have been normal

It looks like the normal bubbling you get from a track day just in the middle only, we’re you really giving it the beans in a straight line towards the end of your ride?

If I have this round the right way that looks like hot tear (cold tear being deeper normally) the usual culprit being pressure. If it's a hot day then it would be possible to generate enough heat in the surface of the tyre I'd say. If it's fairly even around the whole tyre they I wouldn't say it's shock setup. It would normally be patchy if it was.

I've got Conti Sport Attack 2's on currently so reasonably soft.

By the sounds of it I think it must have been "spirited riding" on my way home. I live in a village, so it's country lanes most of the way and I know the roads like the back of my hand. I haven't had the 675 very long so still getting used to the power delivery and handling and so far I'm very impressed :)
