So I’m trying to get everything together to try and get the studs out my manifold and a few peeps mentioned plus gas having more luck than wd.

Question is do I go for the aerosol or the oil tin?

No help at all I'm afraid, but mine is in a tin.
However I've had it for somewhere between 10-20 years & no recollection of where I purchased it back then.

    Amazon.?

Might be better with the tin version, they seem to never run empty, though I’ve never used one the aerosol might not be quite as effective with it having the propellant?

Could be right, I’m thinking if the aerosol is like wd, it may run from the area quite easily and the tin stuff may be thicker.

I’ve tried a fk tonne of wd already so I think I’ll go with the tin and see what it’s like.

I’ve got to order a few tools to drill and extract them so I’ll chuck it al in one order

Did you use it with a normal socket set or with air?

Just a normal socket, slow and steady with a bit of wd40.

Amazingly didn't need heat, then obviously some proper stainless steel studs with cooper slip so the fuckers don't seize again.

    Cheers,

Just ordered one so I’ll give that a go first before going down the drilling route!

Mine all snapped, which is why I used an extractor.

In the end I used a small dremal with a cutting blade to take off the nut sides, exhaust off and loads for the extractor to grab onto.

Good luck getting those little shits out.

  11. I've heard that stuffs quite flammable, how much is that an issue using it on headers if you wipe it down thoroughly afterwards?
