Something I have wanted to do for many years but one thing and another has got in the way, so 2020 NL new comer 1000cc will be my year to give it ago. I will be up against the big boys on the R1/cbr/s1000rr but bring it on. I have done Trackday’s since 2008 and I am riding better now than I ever have and a lot of that is down to tuition and this mega bike. Bring it on, need to shed a few lbs and get a little fitter not easy when your in your 50s ha ha

Have another good luck and get a decent spares package as a tiniest thing can make the difference of racing of watching from the pit lane.
I have swapped of these out during tumbles over the years along with a starter relay/solenoid, R/R and recently a pulse generator. Thankfully, all cheap items to have in the race box
I did toy with it but there all seasoned racers Gary Johnson, Paul Holden to name a few, I will be in there races but just in a different class new comer 1000
good luck mate be hard against the 1000cc bikes on power circuits but tighter ones with more braking zones will be in amongst them
If there genuine new comers? Don’t think it will be a huge problem, I can put hand on my heart and say I have never raced only grid I have been on is a rev and go go kart track ha ha
To be honest I personally would enter into the 765 STD class. Last year Gary Johnson was battling with Jake Ebbage a NC1000 rider all season long. Although Ebbage was fast for a newcomer it just highlights how much difference there is in the bikes. Seeing the 1000 blast past you out of the corners and down the straights only to hold you up in the corners will be frustrating if your racing them for position. Believe me I had to battle with that at the one endurance round that I entered at Snetterton. Drove me nuts. Everytime I would pass them, they swallowed me on the straights. It then pushes you to ride like a loon and risk a lot to create a gap big enough to stop it happening. Even if youre mid pack you will enjoy racing with bikes similar to you than the rocketship 1000s. Looking at some of the results, even at a tight circuit like Cadwell there were only 2 765 STD in the top 10 and at a long circuit like Snett there were again only the 2 top 765 in the leading 10. Just shows that because its called 'newcomer' it doesn't mean the pace is any slower. I will be entering the NC 600 next year and to be in the mix I will need to be running at least 2.01s round Snett and sub 1.40s at Donny GP. Just my 2 cents

Have a blast fellas something I've wanted to do for a very long time but family has come first. As the kids are getting older I'm managing more trackdays and have bought a specific track bike but racing is still a dream for now.
