  5. It’s a Limited run of 765 bikes, it’s not commercially viable to completely re-design a bike, think they did well with small differences and full carbon bodykit. (Gotta be a first?)
Also it’s not a massive capacity increase so why people expect a massive power jump I don’t know
What you do have is a moto2 developed engine with all singing all dancing electronics package, slipper clutch, auto blippers, brembo’s, ohlins race suspension setup for single rider
    It’s mad spec

£16k for an MV Augusta 675
    £19k for a norton 660
    £12k for r6
    £12k zx6r
So yeah maybe abit on the exotic side but is a rare bike

exactly that’s what we are getting not an animal of a bike , it’s a special one off bike that 765 people were willing to pay £15,750 for.

Not sure what triumphs strategy for the bike is and only doing a limited run. There must still be a market for super sport bikes to justify a new model update.

Is it to satisfy some kind of race category rule where they need to have a minimum quantity available for the road?

  8. Yes it is, and no there isn’t enough of a market for middleweight sportsbikes
Hence no gsxr 600, cbr600rr etc
And that’s the guys with a lot more ££ then triumph
But the more road biased roadsters and hipster bikes sell by the bucket load to the people with ££

Most people want 200bhp to talk at the pub & hold me up in the corners on track lol

I was at Portimao last March, so should be a good comparison. Also one of our 'gang' has a 675R, so it'll be interesting from the last corner to the 1st. This year he'd get past just under the finish gantry, when the RS hit the limiter.

You say that but have just listed a few super sport bikes in your previous reply. Plus Honda have the 650 (not sure I’d call it a super sport though)

And lets face it norton don’t have a deal of cash either but still have developed a bike or 2 for this category.

I really hope triumph have a change of heart and develop a new model on the back of quickly selling out this run of Daytona’s.

  11. Small correction mate,

    The MV 675 is £12500, the 800 is £14k
    ZX6R is £9995

But I totally get the point you are making

  12. Yeah 20k to make any money though haha

The only mv 675 that’s for sale I can find new is 16k (is RC model) from crazy horse or motocorsa.co.uk
And doesn’t come with a tft dash, dripping in carbon and all that jazz

And the zx is the ultimate version (still no brembos and ohlins though) and that’s been essentially the same bike since 2013 with only minor mods in 19

Same with the MV 13+ no major changes

    Markets dead sadly
and yeah they’re in business to make money

The mv looks the tits but has anyone looked closely the finish is shocking.

Zx6r more plastic than plastic very dated

R6 lot of money and low power and again lots of plastic

Triumph moto 2 yes please another 6 hrs and mine will be in the garage .

  14. I bought the MV F3 800 a(second hand) it was such a let down mechanically. I never even owned it a year. Plus know one wanted to take it as a trade in. I lost around £6k and vowed never to buy Italian again.
I would have gone for the 765 but sadly it came along too late for me.

  15. Would you mind putting up a load of really detailed pictures of it? In natural light etc? Haven’t seen one and I’m really keen to

  16. This is my worry, I can buy one new from an MV dealer and I think new is the way to go because they are under 3 year warranty, but looking at 3 year old ones they are under half price which means the owners must have been given 4-5k trade in on bikes that were a few years old

It’s a common thing low part ex prices, I bought a 2018 CBR1000RR sp had it a few months then there was a chance of brand new sp2 originally all 50 sold so part ex on my 18k sp I was offered 10k but eventually got £12.500, I dread to think what my sp2 is worth but it’s not an issue as I don’t intend to sell for many years. It’s not just MV that drop Ktm Ducati they all do.

  20. Lovely, more pics please:D
What are the options for exhausts with this bike, would the old Daytona stuff work or be too restrictive?
