    Hi all,

See the plastic triangular thingy under the guard - mine has come lose and is rattling a little at low speeds. Is this an essential part that I could do with replacing or fixing, or can I just simply take it off.

Any help is much appreciated. Cheers. 62CC24AB-347B-4FBC-894B-AFFADBB01FE2.jpeg 8532EB09-D337-4C59-8433-E31F25139E02.jpeg

It locates into the fairing panel, with rubber gromets these quite often get pushed out when replacing the triangular piece, check to see if they are still there, they might just be displaced, not missing.

    Thanks very much.

I can’t feel the gromets and fear the right side one has fallen out. I’ll see how easy it is to replace the part. Cheers.

It's a simple job, you should be able to do it by removing all the screws on the underside of the fairings, and the bottom 2 bolts on both sides, this should give you enough wiggle room to do what you need, or you could just remove the fairings. The gromet might not be missing just pushed back into it's holder. I usually put a small amount of grease/washing up liquid, whatever I have to hand to help the V piece slip into the gromets easier.

Iirc there is also the bottom front scrivit (No 7 on above drawing) that goes through the overlapping lugs on the bottom of the two side panels, and also through a lug on the bottom of that V-piece. It keeps the whole assembly rigid & secure.

Really appreciate all your comments. Been out today riding on the roads of Northumberland so I’ll have a look later through the week and see what parts if any I might need.

    Cheers for this

I did this to mine while I had it removed: Photo0036.jpg

A bit of mesh a few small holes and some lock wire, works a treat keeps a lot of crap from going in.
