    Hi all.
Anyone know where I can get single side pods for an Arai Viper GT?
After the visor on my HJC cracked for the second time (around the locking catch), I'm looking to resurrect my little used Arai. I've got a new R/H side cover, but need a Left.
Seems to me like this is a weak point on an otherwise superb helmet.
Flag series (Union, obvs!), but any will do until I can talk her indoors into buying me a new lid...

  2. Just contact Arai directly or one of their 5 star dealers, I needed something similar and Arai provided them free.
I've actually got one of these but it's for the right unfortunately.

    Thanks for that.
I've just sent them a message - hopefully they'll respond positively!

  4. No worries and this is what they look like.

I know what they look like.
I've got a r/h one still in the sodding packaging...

Already had a new set delivered. Still couldn't get the L/H side to stay on. So got a new set of base plates today. Still no joy. Had to heat up and bend one of the retaining lugs to get it to stay put.
Got it all back together, then cracked the side of the visor trying to refit it!
What an absolutely crap design. Used to love my Arai, but now I hate it!
Wish I hadn't bothered, and just bought a new visor for the HJC.

  8. I have a few Arai helmets and did damage a side lug on my first one as I was cack handed / lazy in not paying attention how to remove the visor.
One youtube video later I can now swap visors out in seconds, I actually picked up a couple of visors at the NEC show recently with the pin lock system.

Yep, same here. Now it's sorted out I love it again!
I contacted Arai about it, they reckon it's now 20 years old, and they don't carry any spares after 7 years...

Yeah, I bought it about 6 years ago. Don't use it that often - like to keep it "for best"!!!
I can't actually make out anything from the tag - I've probably still got the receipt for it, I'll have a look later...
