Ok Going to start a list with all of the exhausts I can think of to buy for the daytona and if somebody can put in the DB values of these if they know them that would be really cool then hopefully we can use it as a bit of a guide for forum members and we can add to it as and when people go to track days or have bikes tested for noise limits that way nobody will lose out on hard earned cash if they have booked a track day.

If I have forgotten any please feel free to add as necessary but hopefully with this list we will be able to give everybody an idea of what they can expect from different exhausts and avoid lots more questions about it. Plus more importantly put fears to rest. However this isn't gospel and I have been informed that it depends on the noise tester but if we can get fairly accurate readings logged on here then at least people have a chance.

Feel free to edit as necessary am hoping that we can come up with a definitive list and then leave it on here as a sticky if one of the mods would be so kind?

Please note folks that if your bike isn't up to at least operating temperature before testing (hotter the better) then you can actually produce up to 2DB over the tabled levels below - Please note all levels were taken from bikes at operating temperature at the time of testing.

Thought I might have the rev ranges wrong I'll edit to adjust thanks dude.

  6. Mine always registers 105. Consistent measurement, but it's always the same bloke at the same track so it could be wrong.

That can happen though dude it will vary from tester to tester but if we can get a rough guide together so that people can make an informed decision I just hope this will help others I would hate to get turned away from track.

  8. My ixil with no baffle and no decat was 117 at 6.5k
With baffles and no decat was 105 at 5.5k

  9. @ Brands - Arrow slip on, no Baffle (with Cat) Lowest reading was 102.3db and that wasn't quite at 6,500 (more like 5,500  ) luckily the guy let it go

N.B. If the tester moves the probe closer to your bike by 11cm it will register 1dB higher.

  16. My Scorpion slip on, on a 2007 bike is
    105 without baffle
    98 with
and was the same before I had it de catted and exup removed.
