I've changed from the Daytona to a Street Triple R and noticed on a recent ride out that I was suffering from a headache whilst riding.
Never had one when on the Daytona, just wondering if this is linked with the new bike?
The bike has a deflector on the headlight and I'm wearing an Arai Axes 2 helmet.
do I need a different helmet or bigger screen for the bike or change my riding style?

    Thanks all
    Snuffy

Could it not be that you just had a headache?

  3. Is the helmet also new? Or have u started wearing a balaclava or something? It is more likely to be a pressure point across your forehead than bike related! Unless of course u have some particular nerve issue in your neck/shoulders causing a headache

Surely the helmet rather than the bike

To be fair, I think anyone who changed from a Daytona to a Street, deserves a headache.

Chances are it's turbulent air from the fly screen/visor.

Well what can I say, some interesting replies, especially from D41 ;)
Went out yesterday and it seems its wind pressure from the screen, so looking at getting an extension for it from powerbronze to see if that will lift the air above my head.

    As i said :)

At the wrong height, it's quite bad, try without the screen?

So there are three options I believe.

    No fly screen

    Fly screen

Screw in visor screen, that's drilled into the fly screen.

I'm 5' 8" and the fly is perfect for my rising.

Plus I don't really like the look of the plastic thing screwed on.

I think that looks really neat. Anyone know how effective it is?

I have it on my bike, it helps a bit. Still going to get a sore neck after 45mins sitting fully upright at 120mph but honestly after my first two years of riding which was 90% motorway commuting my neck and head can take a lot of wind blast. I don't even notice it. The power bronze screen was on the bike when i bought it and I've just left it on there.
