MOT time this might be of use. 4.1.4 Compliance with requirements Some motorcycles may be fitted with high intensity discharge (HID) headlamps. Existing halogen headlamp units shouldn’t be converted to be used with HID bulbs. If such a conversion has been done, you must fail the headlamp. Defect Category Headlamp emitted colour or intensity not in accordance with the requirements Major Not in use Light source and lamp not compatible Major Failure.
Speaking from experience on my Gen2, you can run H7 in both low and high beams(no need to buy 2 different HID kits), and contrary to popular belief, you DO NOT have to take the nose of the bike off to install these.
