Good day folks. Just purchased my first 675cc. I'm writing you all as I purchased my bike from the auction and it has a story. First, the vin had been scratched off the neck and the DOT gave it a new vin that says its a 2006; I don't believe it is. I say that as pictures on the internet for a 2006 are much different. Sadly I cant' read the vin that was scratched off. Based off the pictures on the internet and research, I feel its a 2013. The number on the motor is F627944 and I can provide all the pictures needed. I just want to start ordering parts and get this bike back to its beautiful nature. Any help would be much appreciated.

Here are 10 pictures. Hope this helps.

  5. Engine is black cased so it later then 2009

The forks are later then 2009

The calipers are from a 2006-2008

It’s a mix of everything to be honest mate

It’s got abs Brembo on the rear, non abs nissin on the front.

The clocks would indicate later than 2009 plus the side exhaust should give you an idea on the year

  7. Definitely a bitsa, late back end and early front.

Looks like it needs a shed ton of work to get that mint again unless it’s all dirt making it look rubbish and not damage.

I feel as if the exhaust and swingarm are 2013... thoughts? Or hard to say.

Super dirty as it appears to have been rolled up. Case rash as well...

The subframe mounts to the frame but none of the electronics fit. They were sitting in it. I believe I need a 2013 subframe to attach all the electrical items...

I was going to say that’s an old subframe.
The expansion tank for the radiator location is 2013+.
Wow this was an adventurous purchase for a newbie to the model.

Set on fire and put out with a shovel?

Joking aside, I wish you well. There are some knowledgeable guys on here who will advise you. To my untrained eye I can see there are a mixture of pre and post 2013 bits there which might make things a bit more difficult.

To my eye of say it's 2013 engine, frame, swimgarm, exhaust. Pre 13 subframe, pre 13 front end, early breaks as mentioned before.

Wow what a mongrel. Judging by engine, exhaust and expansion tank it’s 13>. It’s got 09-12 forks and subframe, 06-09 front calipers.
If it wasn’t for the last pic I’d say someone started fixing it with random used parts but weirdly from the last pic looks as if it was already a mish mash when crashed!

apart from early rear subframe and early front calipers, the rest looks like standard 2013+ with R wheels (or tape) to me.

looks clean compared to my Sprint in winter commute

It’s a pre ‘13 frame too, upper subframe mount is not like that on a ‘13+.
I think it’s a pre ‘13 bike with R wheels (red pin stripe), exhaust and foot pegs.

The engine bolts changed from Hex up to 2012 to Torx from 2013, so that would support pre'13. Some Hi res photos would help a lot!
The tank looks like 2013+ to me (should have a bit of plastic covering the sides. Does it fit?

  20. Low exhaust and new style airbox says its a 13 onwards. Also abs on newer bikes. Brake calipers dont look right for year.
