Hiya everyone. New to the site.I have just boight a 2009 Daytona 675 SE. Anyone got any tips and pointers for me as i have never owned a bike like this b4. I borrowed my neighbours for a blast n fell in love with it. Awesome site too
Welcome in - search function will give a plethora of topics, or post up your questions and someone will be back quickly. Enjoy the bike!
Welcome to our friendly little forum, as for pointers I would suggest engine protection can be a worthwhile investment.
^^^^ quickshifter works up the gear box as you go faster. Auto blipper works downward going slower ( only work on fly by wire throttles due to ecu controls )
There is a fair few items people do, have a look on the tweaks along with the modification page mate under the tips and tricks page mate when browsing. There are some basics on there, get used to the bike first
Get your suspension set up, it's free to do that yourself. Another cheap mod that most of not everyone has done is the 1050 throttle grip, only 10 pounds too. Other than that just enjoy the bike.
Welcome to the site and my top tip would be simply to get some time on the bike in different conditions. If you want to start spending, get the suspension set-up for you and your riding style but that could be once you have mastered the bike.
^^^ it's just a very cheap but effective way to install a better responding throttle but reducing the twisting needed to hit 100% throttle
Welcome! Don't be nervous, you'll love it! I have just done this with my suspension actually ^^^^ i've been meaning to do it since i bought the bike over a year ago! 1050 throttle grip mod looks good too, might pop that on my list Enjoy!
I reckon £10 would be better spent on a smaller front sprocket - that really does increase acceleration
