I ended up buying from triumph. I didn't want a used one and have been reading about issues with inferior products failing or not working to start with. Especially ones from dickies, Richies or some firm like that can't remember at the moment.

    And it's running again. Yippee

Fitted new crank position sensor, fired right up.....

Spent most of the day cleaning off the old gasket from the alternator cover, what a pain in the rear end. All sorted and running again now so could get on with some more track prep.

Managed to finish spraying the seat unit the other day so gave it a compounding and polish then test fitted. It's actually not that bad a finish considering I used rattle cans. Sightly too much of the pearlesent so it's a bit like a glitterball, but overall happy.

Fitted tank protection, removed stomp grips to replace with the slightly less abrasive eazi-grips.

Gave the engine a right good siliconing.

Still awaiting the track fairing, which I doubt will turn up before the bike goes off for shipping.
Hopefully the brembo M/C with be here in the next couple of days, will fit new pads at the same time.

    Just happy it's running again

Bike goes off for shipping tomorrow.
I've done all I can do for now.

Apparently the track fairings are on the way since Friday....yeah right. Ordered them over a month ago.

I'm not going to let that get me down. So looking forward to this. I'll prob bin it on the 1st corner.

    Can't wait.

Still got a list of things I want to do to the bike, better start putting more pennies aside.

Bike went off yesterday. It's my first euro event so didn't have a clue what the crack was. Being solo I felt like a Forest Gump looking for a seat on the bus "cant sit here" "this seat (stillage) is taken. Managed to find a space with a helpful chap in the end, so all's good.

Just counting the days till Tuesday now.....

Day one complete. Slow start as I had no clue where I was going. Eased myself throughout the day and pretty much had the track to myself for the last session...

IMG_20180320_120658_213.jpg waiting for the ambo to return from the hospital. Wasn't me thank christ.

    IMG_20180320_182320_472.jpg end of day.

    Tyre looks impressive
But doesn’t it mean that you need to adjust something ?
    Pressure or suspension?

Nice one, looks great - enjoy the rest of the time out there and I’m sure you’ll get quicker with each session. While I “knew” where I was going from prep work, I certainly wasn’t used to the g-forces on the drops, wheelies on the crests and I hadn’t got the braking zones anywhere near as deep as I hoped in my day at Portimao.

    Wish I’d had your weather!

Prob right. To be fair I'm not totally sure. Will ask about tomorrow.

Any thoughts? I did use the pressures from the pirelli website.

Just saw your vid. You looked ok to me.

I had watched some vids and read a few guides. But found in reality it was a different ball game. Was getting there by the end of the day so tomorrow will be better.

Portimao is on my wish list also. Looks epic.
