Spent a bit of time trying to get my horn to work think I have a broken wire somewhere its not as if I can go any where.
Got the headlight unit off eBay all fitted with the bits. That was 439 then ordered some small ballasts for 10 quid. Rest of the bits to to extend wiring I already had in the garage.
Oil/filter and air filter change on the Daytona, not ridden it since last June so can't wait to get it back on the road once this bloody lockdown is over with On the first start to warm up the oil I got a couple of seconds of cam chain rattle until the CCT sorted itself out, never had this before although it has probably been a good few months since the engine was last ran. Was perfectly quiet on the next start after the oil change so I'm sure it was just due to the amount of time it's been left standing over the winter.
Put a folding bed into the trailer today. Once the lockdown is lifted I’m off for a week green laning round England/Wales ! Just got to sort a mattress
I hadn’t heard of that no, looks like an amazing trip ! Maybe something I’ll do one day. Just started green laning/enduros and loving it !
Weather being great meant I could get quite a few bits fitted and some others finished off including a motoholders rear subframe, bazzaz QS, gearshift support, bonamici clutch lever, differently mounted ohlins steering damper, titanium bolts for all of the above then some more for the discs and for the wows. Now just waiting on some fresh front brake lines to arrive and then fit a new master cylinder. Few other slightly less glamorous jobs to do in the meantime though.
Most of it is fairly easy tracks but the best part is that it's registered tracks and not private land.
Have you done it? Not something I’d do on my Fe 250 ! Good excuse to buy another bike Maybe a Husky 701 Enduro or more all terrain tourer
I live in Sweden so not done any UK parts yet I tend to use smaller bikes as I'm not carrying overnight gear or provisions for a long trip - its a day riding trials for me. If you do facebook, there is an excellent group for the TET - https://www.facebook.com/groups/Transeurotrail.org You will see the varied collection of bikes that rider use.
Put some industrial vinyl flooring down in the trailer today, will be lots better when loading wet bikes now
