Disappointed to learn that your Pani ownership wasn't everything you'd hoped for mate, hope the MV does live up to expectations.
Thanks Tbh I’ve been trying to convince myself it’s ticking the boxes for a while but it doesn’t, the euro 5 Panigale engines are so hot, and so grumpy when the air gets hot, stalling and just feeling really unhappy, the gearbox and blipper on mine are particularly ‘tight’ and the blipper seems to push you on into corners and stuff. I’m at a loss, you’d think I’d have been experienced enough to tease this out on a test ride, I’ve even owned an 899 which I loved, but it was also mapped with the termi pipes and was just a lot nicer to live with. I’m putting it down to the fact I had the 848 at the time so the difference was exaggerated, and the fact it was feb and I was with a mate on a blast so I think it just got me caught up in the moment. I’ll learn from it. I’ve done my research on the mv, I know the pcp deals aren’t strong due to lower residuals so I’ve financed it in a way that means I’m giving myself a big protection from the value dropping off, it also has warranty until may 2023, which I’m going to try and extend. The bike itself has only done 1000 miles! Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
Hi fella, sad to see the V2 wasn't up to scratch... my 2020 BMW M sport S1000rr has been in the workshop quite a few times for 5 recalls! But everytime I ride it, it brings a smile to my face, so will be keeping it for the foreseeable. Let me know how the mv is!!! Sent from my SM-T970 using Tapatalk
Sorry to hear the V2 has gone and that the heat was an issue for you also. I was actually considering the new Bayliss version but maybe not now. My 2021 S1000rr runs pretty hot, the frame gets so hot it is virtually untouchable however luckily I barely feel the heat when I’m on it. Your new bike looks amazing, we need a review of that when you have had it a while
Will do mate, I’ve actually not ridden since my trackday at CastleCombe in early August, which isn’t ideal, but all seems good so far. I’m out in Spain this week riding a D675R, it’s a tough life! Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
Sorry mate just seen this, Jerez with Farside Sportbiking. It was going really well until mid day on the 2nd day when my mate high sided at 100mph and wrecked the bike…. He ended up with a stay in hospital with suspected broken fibula but he’s actually got a hematoma, so he’s in not in a great way but could be a lot worse…. Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
That handlebar alone tells it's own story.. Hope your mate recovers soon, and that this doesn't have any lingering effect on the enjoyment of riding.
Oh shit mate I hope your friend heals up quickly and you both get home safely. Sent from my SM-A725F using Tapatalk
Thanks all! We got home okay, he’s been to see a uk hospital and indeed it just needs rest and elevation. I’ve just booked a trackday for the end of the month, hopefully it will stay dry but I think he will need winter to rebuilt the Daytona Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
Hi Phil. I’ve just sold my Daytona (2010 model) and have quite a few spares if he wants to ping me (tank, clip ons, rearsets etc etc). We know each other from Ducati Forum (I have a different name there). Cheers Richard
Thanks mate, will give you a shout. Im seeing him tomorrow so will see what his plan is, I think it’s to turn it into a track bike so perhaps renthal bars but I’ll ask him Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
