I filled mine up the other week and it’s been fine with me no issues what so ever There is a site (government one I think) that tells you if your bike is compatible or not Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
I've been using it in the cage with no issues, but fwiw I will only be using the premium fuel in my bikes.
im sure there will be some issues with some longer term but as with supermarket fuels im reading mixed reports hopefully ill get bike out today
Only use premium in bikes. Seals and rubber bits will likely go a lot quicker. You can remove the Ethanol yourself.
its only a matter of time until premium fuel is e10 aswell id guess but for now i agree its best option only down side is some smaller stations dont stock premium fuel so if desperate id guess its a case of put enough in to get you to next station then top up with e5 my mate is currently touring spain no e10 over there just 2 grades of e5
Been using it recently, 4 or 5 tankfuls to date, no problem. I recall checking compatibility with the model and again no problem mentioned.
No running problems with my Steet Triple but looks like the economy has gone down by about 10% UPDATE So, I did the same route as I did using E10 when I got the crap mileage, except this time I used super unleaded (E5), and guess what, no improvement in the fuel economy! So, a route I could previously do comfortably on a tank with a bit of fuel to spare now see's the fuel warning light coming on about 10 miles from home. There's no fuel leaks that I can see or smell. The bike is in good condition (27k on the clocks but full service history). Maybe I should check the air filter? Ideas anyone?
I always used to run my bikes on regular unleaded, however now I'm sticking to premium to avoid E10. I'm probably being overly paranoid but it's more corrosive which can only be a bad thing, especially whilst storing the bike over winter. It's also false economy because eventhough it's cheaper, E10 is less efficient and therefore MPG will be worse. It's interesting that in other European countries E10 is cheaper than regular E5, sneaky move by the UK government changing the fuel to something less efficient but keeping the price the same.
