I Can't believe what I did on Thursday morning, heading to site meeting............... called in to Petrol Sation at bottom of road, fuel light had been on a since Tuesday. Started to fill up then realised I had put 5 liters of the Black stuff in the Beast

Oh My G**

Pushed it to side of station, called in and paid £5 to rub salt into the wound

Called Triumph Cover - RAC - it will need draining and we will Charge you to take you to the nearest dealer "Blackburn" :(

Straight on to her in doors to bring tool kt down, Whipped tank off there and then jumped in car - emptied the tank rammmed a clean owel in to soak up exess then back too Petrol station, put it back together filled her up and away We rode................into the "well should say sun set bit it was 2 degrees, took an hour from start too finish and that included the other half having to nip back to house as the tank locking pin was in tool box which I took out on first trip back.

    Moral of the story...............
"WAKE UP AND SMELL THE COFFEE BEFORE FILLING UP"
& Always have the alan key and a 8 mill spanner to hand. :ugeek:

I'm guessing you drive a 'diseasel'(as i like to call it) jam-jar jap_sti which may redeem some of your shame as you could argue you are used to filling the car up, if not then you have no excuse and should be shot lol. Still, well done for noticing whilst you were doing it. You may have felt a prat during and after but imagine what more of a prat you would have felt like starting it up and then pop and banging out of the station and ruining your bike. Expensive too!
