Got home at about 8, not just damp but soaked through. Didn't have any waterproofs  and it rained from Gloucester home, and that's a long way. I stopped at Strensham services and sat around for a bit to see if the rain would ease off but it got heavier and heavier, so in the end I fueled up and cracked on - the M5 was vile.

What a fantastic weekend - really good to meet everyone :D Who was the phantom snorer :?: :?: :?:

Nobody came off, nobody crashed, nobody got a tug. Terrific riding with great mates in a beautiful part of the world :D :D :D

Lost I'm glad you're home. For peeps that don't know, Lost's gearbox stuck in 4th and it refused to go any lower. The hill out of Boscastle is about 20%, (1 in 5 for Darren) with a hairpin bend half way up, so no way was the bike going up there. In the end Lost got it into 1st but it soon started playing up again.

Next year? It's too long to wait till next year. I'd be up for a rerun in September, Plymouth or any place else, I don't mind :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

hi guys, thanks for a great weekend :D
big shout out for those that organised the event, with the exception of mechanical problems there was no big dramas.
good ride out sat devon etc fantastic roads and cracking weather, good campsite also.
nice to put names to faces and had a great laugh so thank you all.
sorry for missing the megaride but made the mistake of thinking my oem tyre would last (lol wrong on that one ) smoked it by saturday hahahahahahahaha :?
got home about 8ish and rode through torential rain from glocester on a slick back tyre which was interesting  down to 35 mph because of the spray at one point on the m5 :(
rain was that bad it has wrecked my mobile which was in an inside pocket (hence couldnt text you keithspurs lol)
next year too long for the next fest lets make it the back of the summer ;)

Right I am home - Its just as well I did not stay in the tent I would have been nobby no mates waking up this morning  But as it happens I was in a nice warm bed and wondered down for a nice full blown breakfast of: To Start :D Grapefruit, then 2 pork bangers, tomato's, Bacon,Fried bread, scrambled eggs and mushrooms, toast and tea. This I had every morning (If I did not mention it ) All for the price of a medium priced tent

I would like to thank Craig and Justin and Nige & Ed for all the work put into what was a great weekend. A big thanks to all the guys for making the weekend - what a great bunch, My cheeks hurt from laughing so much.
So we all started off well when we left Plymouth, then it went a little pear shaped  but we all got there in the end, well sort of, I have posted a few pics.

I would also like to thanks Nige for his hospitality on Sunday afternoon after the mega run, which was a nice way to finish off the weekend, even better that we were blessed with the weather for weekend rides at least.
And mother nature for providing such a stunning back drop for our tour of the countryside.
Cheers every single one of you for making this weekend a lot of fun :D And cheers Dave for your vid that had me in fits... :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Roll on the next fest, when was it again Aug 2010?

Thanks to everyone for a great weekend at the 2nd 675 fest. It was superb riding out with you all again and I really appreciate the opportunity getting to a part of the country and some great roads that I probably would otherwise never have ridden and with a great bunch of chaps too. The organisation and route was superb and my hat (lid) goes off to everyone involved in the preparations which I'm sure were no mean feat.

That's the most miles I've packed into a weekend and suprisingly I have been fine today. I was expecting to be walking like I had done a marathon but the 675 has proven to be a reasonably comfortable bike for this kind of stuff.

As for the snoring either Spike was superbly loud because I could hear it at the opposite corner of the field or I reckon someone closer by (Tony ;) ) was trying to rate higher on the dB scale.

As there was mention of a Fest/meet in the Midlands next time, Mallory could make a reasonable base for this. Not sure what is going on at the Triumph bash but if this doesn't work out there is always the possibility of a trackday that could lead us there.
