Low Battery

I have been using the bike all week because the car's off the road, wont start....Anyway, On Monday morning the low battery warning came on but went off after a minute or so, Tonight when I started it at work to come home the warning came back on, again for a few seconds, It's been on a trickle charge all winter, with the odd start up, anyone any idea's

 

Without wanting to sound too obvious; you have had the R&R recall done, haven't you.???

When you say "trickle charge", on an Optimate sort of thing.?

 

Yes, Optimate, The warning came on Monday morning, used all week and then came on tonight.

 

Mine died on the ride over to my mums from work.It had started fine the Saturday morning .
I was in the summer and had not been on a charger.
As it was still under warranty Ling of Ipswich got a new reg under warranty

Can't beat the battery on the SV. 8 years later on the original battery, no trickle charger and still going strong
