Long story short, I missed out on securing the very last new 675R yesterday because I faffed around too much putting a deposit on it. I'm still after a 675R, but it needs to be as new as possible and, here's the awkward bit, one that I can use my 2013 675 as a PX for (with cash on top, naturally). I've looked through all the usual places, eg, ebay and autotrader, and I thought it'd be worth checking with yous lot as well. I have no preference on colour or add ons, my only "must have" is that it's ultra low mileage.

    Anything about?

He who hesitates, is lost, and all that.

Ooooohhh, that's nice. I think someone posted that on here a while back, so it's been up for sale for a while now. I'm tempted to see if they'll do free delivery.

I'm having a look at a 16 plate (July) R tomorrow that's got 1300 miles on it. My local dealer has also got a standard 675 which I'm also considering because it's shiny new and it's got the additional warranty. I'm not sure which one I'd prefer and I'm having a bit of a dilemma!

The deal is done! I went for a new standard 675 in the end as the warranty, buying local and knowing the bike's history is important to me. I got slightly mugged on the deal, but I'm happy with what I've ended up with. It comes with an Arrow can and I'm getting the quickshifter and bling bits from my old bike swapped over onto it.

I used my old 675 as a px and it's a really weird feeling knowing that there's a good chance that I'm going to see it on the road with someone else riding it.

    I tried to :(. A *new* 675 is better than someone's sloppy seconds R :D.

(this is what I'm telling myself, anyway).

    Very nice janey
I recon the R would have cost you a fortune getting the suspension re-sprung etc
My 12 R was very firm even with my lardy ass sat on it.
Mine came from hughendon and they are a great dealer nothing was too much trouble.

  15. Tbf the setup on the 13+ was miles better as standard, the rear shock actually moved!

Good luck with the bike, getting hard to find new ones now I imagine.

Too true about hesitating, I missed out on a new 675r in black for £9300 due to leaving it a day to think about!! ended up with a "sloppy seconds" R with 2k on it.

I finally picked her up yesterday. It feels like it was ages ago that I actually paid for her! She's not the brand shiny new R of my dreams but she's still a damn good second choice :).

All I need now is some decent weather to get the first 1k miles out of the way.

I bet you still go faster than I do atm @farmer1! I'd forgotten what a ballache being gentle and restrained is while I'm running her in.
