    Hi all,
I recently bought a contour HD 1080p second hand. It stops it's self recording when it gets a bump i.e. rough road surface. It looks to be a fairly common problem cuased by the battery loosing contact. Some people have cured it by wedging things behind the battery retention clip to keep the battery pressed down. I was just wondering if anyone else has had issues here and if so how did you sort it? I wish I bought a driftHD now.
    Cheers,
    Col.

My mate had one. Exactly the same problem. Kicked off and got a upgrade. But that was new. They told him to move it to somewhere else where it could get vibrations or move. Asif!

Cheers Hamster I'll push for the upgrade. I'm not sure where I stand with this second hand one? All contour cameras come with a 12 month warranty..but is it transferable?

No idea about transfer of. ownership. My mates was a problem from the start. Bad quality footage. All wind noise. And then the cutting out problem. Personally I prefer the 10 quid cheapy from eBay.

I tried the 10 quiders, I had one front and rear when I saw u at caddy. They only lasted 30 mins each so I only got the first session and half of the second. I was gutted. I just had a reply from contour and they said if the camera is faulty they will either repair or replace :) I tried wedging the battery with a tie wrap and giving it a good belt. It seems to be doing the trick. I'll trial it this week going to work. Want it sorted for caddy next mon :)

  8. Hey chaps,,,

No problems as all on mine. Have helmet mounted, fairing panel mounted and even clamped on to the swing arm..

    No problems at all.

Will be using on my 5K mile trip in 2 weeks time also so hopefully wont experience any issues then.

  10. I have that Conour too. Took it around the Pyrennes for a week and it never missed a beat. The picture quality is great. Audio is not fantastic but as good as can be expected whilst travelling 'at the speed limit'.

    Highly recommended.

Can't fault the picture quality, it is really good isn't it. Looking forward to getting my replacement and a couple of full track sessions on tape :)

  12. The film quality is good.. but do tend to be very noisey. Apart from that faultless. I have the underwater housing too which is nice and fairly cheap.

The profile mounts are great too. I have one on the hlemet and one on the fairing. Stick like glue and ultra close keeping the 'profile' as close as possibe to the surface
