Must be a total mechanical incompetant.

Can anyone less technically challenged please tell me how to remove the standard bar end weights please.

  2. isnt it just a case of undoing the allen bolt and pulling the thing out? failing that.....hacksaw

When I try to undo the allen bolts they just turn and nothing happens.
The bar end weights turn with them :(

  4. hold the weight still and turn the allen bolt, theyre not tight so you shouldnt need moleys or anything..i found a picture that may help....i'll be back

does that make things a bit clearer mate . when you do up the bolt it compresses the rubber at each end..

ignore the last post, im just crap at computering :?

  11. had a look at mine, cant move it any further than yours, and i broke it so my advice would be to not do anything till youve found out how to take it off the right way...then you can tell me  ...have had a look through the manual but theres no referance to removal but looking at the picture it appears the allen screw comes out but i couldnt shift mine, maybe locktited in...

Not at all mate, I have an ajustable spanner that clamps on to the bar end so you can undo the alen key inside. Pop over after work and Ill sort it for you.
