I purchased an Optimate 4 charger last year brand new on Ebay cost £36 and free delivery.
Just connect up,switch on and forget about it,the charger constantly monitors your battery
condition and charges at the appropriate rate ,simple but effective ;)

Would also recommend a Oxford OF700 Maximiser 360T (I got mine for £31 delivered on EBay) it also has enough oomph to maintain car batts as well - not sure Optimates can do both?

The Optimate4 can charge both car and bike 12V lead/acid batteries from 2 to 50ah capacity.
Its down to personal choice and of course budget ;)
