Just need it to stop bloody raining now so i can oil it and crack on with the other side of the garden on the east wing of the house.

Having the right tools is usually 50% of the job, IMO.

And then I find the other 50% is shouting, swearing, making lots of bangin noises and drinking tea

this may take some time to explain!!

    Its my wife's step dad.

Both he and her mum are living with us at present due to him being treated for cancer at Christies.

    Life deals a crappy hand!!

They both retired early and bought a house in Spain within 3 months he was back for his illness. They werent there long enough to get residency

The big C is not a good thing to have,
A very good mate of mine lost his wife two years ago with it,
they had only been married for a couple of years,
and his mum has since had a op for it (both brest cancer)
my mate rang me thursday to tell me that,
now he has been told that he has early stages of prostate cancer,
so yes Andy, life does deal a crap hand to some people.
