    Hi All,

After a bit of an "off" on my bike my missus is a bit nervous of me riding again as I normally go out alone, early in the morning on quiet roads; she thinks I may lie undiscovered in a ditch for hours if the worst happens.

I said I'd try to find one of those mobile apps (Android) that alerts the emergency services if it detects the bike is no longer "shiny side up"! :)

So far I've come up with nothing.

Could anyone recommend an app that does this?

    Thx.

iPhone and Apple Watch have fall detection now, maybe android have something similar?

Life360 if you dont mind sharing your location with the missus all of the time...
you can activate crash detection if you subscribe, else the free version allows you to see where each other are.

we use it for all of the kids, but also helps to check if they are home before you drop by unannounced

  4. Google Pixel comes with a personal safety app pre installed and one of the features is crash detection. If you haven't got a Pixel, then that's not much use to you.

My pixel didn't detect my crash, and I'm blaming it for causing my broken rib (it was in my chest pocket).

  6. Baaaaad Google. Erm, did you have the crash detection activated? (I'm trying not to sound overly patronising, but I'm not sure I've achieved it).

Yes it was. The only interaction I have with it is every time I go abroad it tells me it's no longer working, and when I come back it's back on again. In that instance it would have just been annoying, something else to deal with, or most likely I wouldn't have even known it was doing anything. Bit more noticeable in a car after an accident and it starts talking to you, but your phone in a pocket or bag quietly calling the emergency services? Good if you need them, annoying if not.

Downloaded this for me and the missus. Nice app but no way to test if the crash detection works without crashing!? :)
