  1. Is it bad that I actually like the black/White ones?? :-/

  3. Was taking the mick out myself for saying "don't like seeing ppl hurt". :D

As before, I like the design of the TCX. The SMX though I did look at, but the side bits seemed just impact protection, rather than the hinge the pictures implied might be there. Tried them on, though, comfy.

The Greeks have a nice saying/reply when someone gets something new,
"With health" - i.e. May you enjoy it with health for many years to come.

Really good to know. Was really tempted to get the vertigo's myself, but when I could fold them 90deg inwards (not outwards, at least), I was put off. Just wished they had the bracing going up BOTH sides, as the inner side didn't link up, for some reason.

(PS. Wanted one of the Halo suits, but can't afford. Frustrating. Good deal)

Well my size 7's turned up this morning at 8.00am, they are perfect, brand new with tags etc, im in love with them!! they feel like a pair of slippers, i was a little worried about the size, but 1 size smaller than normal seems common, as i'm a 7- 7.5 -8...the 7 fits me perfectly..

    Thanks guys, i'm uber happy...

  12. Good stuff, they are nice boots Ste

Must be Supertech R's all round then, I called into an Ipswich Dealer this afternoon on the way back from Snetterton (to see Kiwi_Uk), and they were doing a special on S/tech R's, colours for £229.99, black for £259.99. So hammered a deal on some black ones and quoted this thread on the price Steffy paid, the Manager didn't believe me so I used his own computer to pull up the thread and get the deal! When I left he was reading Panteleimon's summary of boots with great interest :D .

Size 42's again Steffy, my feet swell a bit when hot, so today was a good test - binned the 10 yr old Vertebra's at the shop and rode home in the S/techs :D lovely!
Must move the gearshift up a bit tomorrow though, feels like it needs raising about 4-5mm. You might want to check yours with the new boots before suiting up for a ride Steffy. Cheers - Dave G.

That's great Dave!! I love a deal, if I'd have known I'd have posted up £199 hehe.

I had a quick ride with them and they are a fraction taller at the toe, I like that as I am a little lazy with my foot movement on up shifts, so they cure my problem!

I love the feel of them, there like a pair of slippers, and I adore the smooth surface of the instep, I was always catching my Sidi's on the bike.

    10/10!!

  15. Glad you are happy with them Steffy.

  16. Think im gonna go for some Sidi ST's.

    265 quid though :(

  17. ive had cheapos and then sidi vertigo which were ok ish then had alpinestars smx plus (very comfy) now i have just bought puma hypersports which have a built in ankle brace if im honest theyre a pig to get on and off and the left one squeeks when i walk in them  and i keep missing the gear lever too :?: but having said that they feel quite comfortable and very safe to wear so id give them a 9 the a stars an 8 and the sidis a 7 and the cheapos id give to the bin man :D

  18. Just in case anyone is still interested. I have the daytona evo sports. However, given that the insert is just hard plastic I really don't see how they are comparable to top of the range A * and Dainese, etc

  19. Little bit of oil will set you right ;)
Happens with all the hinged ones.

    Hope you enjoy the Pumas.
Agree that when new, about as much a pig as A* Supertechs.
You can get used to them quickly, though.

Even quicker to get on & off if you had the 1st version, where the back / calf bit breaks off & you leave the lace un-done. ;)

I have a pair of Supertech R's and I find the lever needs to be moved up a little to compensate for them. Must be down to the extra boot inside them. Is this easily done?

The boots themselves are great. Super comfy and great ventilation. Wore them on a ride around Snowdonia at the weekend. All day in the sun and my feet were sweat free and comfy as you like!

£229 is a great price too as they were £300!
