So ladies and gents, I've just bought myself a new set of leathers and they're a bit on the dirty side. Just wondering if you lot have any tips or tricks to clean them well and get all the dirt out of the stitching too? Ta
Leather Genie for me. They do a cleaner - a paste that you mix with hot water, and a Balsam that nourishes and protects etc. Not the cheapest, but they last for ages...
I use Nikwak leather cleaner and Renapur conditioning wax. Cleaned the white bits on my leathers perfectly.
I'm a cheap skate and use baby shampoo and warm water for a full clean and baby wipes for interim cleans/De bugging. I was advised to do this by the dianese dealer I purchased my leathers from. Never had any problems and they smell lovely after.
Thanks for all your advice! Going to the bike show in London this weekend so I'll have a look at some of this stuff while I'm there, much appreciated
Baby shampoo is fab, PH neutral, and non fragrance wet wipes, both winners. And a good squirt of Fabreeze inside
Just cleaned last autumns flies off mine after reading this - used some dubbing afterwards too. No more grimy leathers for me.
