A mate said there were artist impressions goin round to test the water i think... And i think YES! Looks awesome. Even if they dont make it, put that front end on the next update of the 675! Those lights Awesome
there has been talk of a bigger daytona since the launch of the 675 , if triumph ever get around to making the 1050 & its less than 9k then i will be in the queue to buy one no hesitation . this would be an awsome bike
the website i was on said that considering to look into it in 2010 so maybe, just maybe triumph will be up there with the big boys toys
I thought the 675 looked agressive......this practically comes up and punches your lights out! It looks awesome.....I have never been that interestd in Litre bikes, but if they made this I would get one! The only improvement I would make is keep the underseat exhaust......Just a personal preference, but I think it looks better.
completely agree mate, thats one of the reasons i bought the 675.....reckon we should send a message to triumph...just 2 words......YES PLEASE
I don't really like the 'underseat-exhaust' look - but if they build this bike...which I really hope they do - then I'm defo getting two.....one for me & one for the wife - get her off that S4 she's ridin'
This thing has clearly been forged from the inferno of hell..............its pure EVIL looking!!!, i love it!, is carrying a trident and having horns a prerequisite for owning one!, i would def sell my soul for one, no question. I would like to see the underseat exhaust carried through to this model though, for me its one of the things i never tire of looking at on my 675!, agree with the lads about the lights too!........AWESOME.
The artistic impression looks impressive. Though it's been a wild goose chase since 2006. The only problem being "http://www.1050.cc" is taken.
Tail end is quite RSV4-ish. I wonder how long it'll be before some aftermarket place models some fairing for the 675 on this??? REALLY like the lights. Very aggressive looking. I doubt I'd change my 675 for one as most of the guys I ride with run litre class bikes and I can still keep up with them all, but it is a very good looking bit of kit! Steve
i must admit i am a die hard 675 cc bike fan as its more than enough fun and can match most litre bikes through the twisties but........ if they ever bring out the 1050 and it looks as good as that artist impression and handles as well as the 675 i would definately trade in for one  its just awesome
The pic of the burnt orange bike was in a issue of Performance Bike mag some time a go, maybe as long as two years or so. what the mag thought a Daytona 1050 should look like. I rekon that a 1050 version is on the way. When TRIUMPH put the new 1050 engine that they are supposed to be developing in the Sprint and Speed triple, my guess is they will put it in a 675 frame. Maybe wishfull thinking on my part but i think if they do it will be launched 2011, forty years since the last glory years of Triumph racing, ie the Tridents of the 70's
Well sign me up for one of these, I will even be a test mule for them if they want They should take a full scale mock up to the NEC to judge the reaction, think they would defo build it then!
