Derby Phoenix Croft 16-17 August.

Off up to Croft then. I'm looking forward to it. As it was wet for most of the last weekend at Knockhill, I don't even need a new rear tyre
I've entered F600 and Allcomers 175-675 but due to the numbers it's looking like combined grids again. More people to race so no problems there

All I have left this year is this weekend, maybe Mallory and Oulton early September then back here and East Fortune in Oct.
It's just the way it's worked out.

Warm up went fine then I qualified 14th out of 30 odd. Happy with that.
First race red flagged after a couple o laps. People crashing everywhere.
They're gonna rerun it later. I'll be busy after lunch.

A great weekend that passes in a flash. Doing two classes really keeps you busy.
Warm up, qualifying and three races Saturday and four races on Sunday mean I'm aching a little today. In a good way though.
Progress was good on Saturday. Warm up I was comfortably lapping in the 36's. In Qualifying I chipped nearly 2 seconds off that and qualified 14th with a 1:34.53. In my final race I had found a further two seconds and was down in the 32's. That's only just over a second off my best ever times here.
Highlight of the day was my 3rd in 175-675 Allcomers. Another pot for the cabinet.



On Sunday I struggled a bit. I just couldn't regain the pace I had on Saturday. I was guilty of trying too hard in places and ended up going slower as a result. Still it was good racing and my four races flew by. Best result on the Sunday was a 5th in 175-675 Allcomers. I did actually lead the last one for a few laps but I was knackered by then and when the boys came past I had nothing left. I need to get fitter.

So another meeting over and done with.

Next one could be at Oulton Park 12-13 September but more likely 4-5 October at Cadwell with a trip to East Fortune the following weekend.

Derby Phoenix were meant to be having a meeting at Mallory early September but that's been cancelled.

 

Congrats' on the podium TDB.

Shouldn't there be some 675.cc stickers on there somewhere.? May make the difference between 3rd & second
