not sure how it is but could a piece of rubber pipe be squeezed over to help you adjust it and still have clearance
That's a real shame @cpszx Fingers crossed removing the cam cover gives you enough reach. It's a bit tight in there but must be possible to do valve clearance etc. It all just adds to the cost I guess....and time. What you need is an engineer to pop round and sort it out while you help. LoL. Really hope you get sorted. It's a massive pain in the backside that sort of job
Try cam cover first, then take out cam ladder and cams. That will give you another 50mm. Sent from my SM-G960F using 675.cc mobile app
Not had chance to dig deeper yet. Unfortunately one of our cats has gone missing, so have been looking for him. Car also developed a leak into the boot the week before i was giving it to daughter to use. So lots of rubbish to deal with before i get back to it
Sounds like a tough time, bikes are important but the cat coming home would make life a lot better.Keeping my fingers crossed for you mate.
Fwiw one of our cats used to go missing every harvest time, for a couple of weeks. Then, just when we had about given up, he would appear again right as rain. This went on for about 6y or so (about 20y ago). We never got to the bottom of it, but used to joke (after he had re-appeared) that he had been away on his annual summer holidays.. I feel we don't "own" cats, like we do dogs etc. Rather they acknowledge your attention and feeding, but have no qualms whatsoever about re-locating if they have a preference for somewhere else ( eg neighbour thinks it's a stray, give it some tinned salmon because they don't have catfood, and inherit a cat until the tastier food runs out). Hope he turns up soon though mate, being logical is easier when your not distressed at your own moggie being missing.
Cheers guys. He is not a year old yet, so hadnt got into any habits of staying out overnight like some of the older ones. He was always back to be with his inseparable buddies overnight, who dont venture out far. Missing since friday so fearing the worst. Just rubbish part of pet ownership.
A big 'thank-you' for mentioning the fuel pipe tool. I ordered the same one as you and have just tried it on my Street Triple (which needs a new engine). An absolute revelation, it removed the pipe instantly, and effortlessly. Thanks again.
