Hey guys, my inner fork tube has snapped :( .

Found a few sets of complete forks on eBay etc, what years / model fit my 06 Daytona 675..

As can get replacement tubes for £220.

  3. Hope you are okay, never ever heard of a fork leg snapping without having hit an immovable object at speed!

    Crikey Sniper - what happened?

As said above, fork legs don't snap for no reason, only thing I can think of is it's been bent at some point and the previous owner has had the leg(s) straightened but didn't find the killer crack that caused the breakage.

Yeah I hit a deer :( haha so thankfully I have loads of spares but just unsure what forks fit

Can get normal chrome inners for £220 black inners for £300

But there are a few full set forks but from street triples and later model Daytona .

The bike is nearly finished, had two days in garage rebuilding :( her.

  6. Ah, be careful, I think the st forks are longer. You are better off finding a matching pair of Daytona fork legs used and swapping them out as u have no way of knowing that the outer case isn't bent

Haha same here I had no ideer he was going to bolt .. Blah blah blah haha

might buy a bent outer set .... But would the inner tubes be bent also???

  10. I did the same thing last summer. Hit the thing head on. Made one hell of a mess.

Bent both forks inner and outer, front wheel got pushed into the rad and dented the exhaust.

Ended up been very dear to fix.

  11. Ha...I see what you did there.

I wouldn't buy them from a dealer, they'd cost too much 'doe' ;)

Maybe some black 03/04 zx6r inners

Then fit my daytona blocks :)

Think that street forks have 10/ 20 mm more travel than daytona forks ,06 to 12 should fit not sure on the newer ones.
