I just refitted my front wheel after having a new tyre fitted and was wondering if anyone knew the torque setting value for the axle. My sons concerned that I should use a torque wrench rather than the way i`ve done it for the last thirty years, by feel alone!

Your sons are spot on Steve and are right to point that out well done to them.
Torque settings for your front axle are as follows.

Front wheel spindle axle bolt 65NM.
    front wheel spindle pinch " " 20NM.

    Hope this helps ;)
