I've swapped my standard rearsets for some sexy Rizoma adjustables......however the gearshift rods don't fit. I'm running a quickshifter....hopefully the pictures will explain what I need, but the fitment I need is the second fitting but as a small extension type bar....any ideas how to get round it, or where I can one
Local mechanic shops mate the top picture is a rose joint. I used them on my rear sets. Then bolt and nut securing them in please once adjusted. Or after you after an OEM fitting??
Can't understand what you need mate?? Here's the pic what to search on eBay mate Also you need to know is it right hand thread or left hand thread you need

You know thee screw in at both ends (opposite directions) to go in and out? I assume your at the fully most extended and it still doesn't fit? In the pics they are screwed right in.
Its the joint connection that's wrong, not the length. The OEM is a ball joint and I now need a rose joint The bike I lniked to is not mine but shows perfectly what I need
You can unscrew the ball on the gear shaft actuator with an 8mm spanner. Then you can screw the rose joint to it. The same goes for the rearset end, just unscrew the original end and put the rose joint on
the actual joint is a rose joint but the fitting is know as a rod end can be bought for as little as £1 upwards depending on quality and size but be aware some have both left and right handed threads fitted to the same rod this link might help http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GO-KART-KARTI ... 54020ab163
Ok pro bolt not able to help with the extension / inline connector.........so if I change the length of the actuator to a longer bar thus pushing the actual QS further back to get the required length to accomodate the rearset, would this have an adverse effect ?.
I can't see why not, just make sure you don't have any clearance problems and wiring isn't strained or going to rub on the chain
would this have an adverse effect ?.[/quote] The rod MUST be at 90 degrees to the connector to the gear change shaft in the engine when the rod is at rest. The gear lever must be at a height relative to the foot peg that is comfortable. Surely these two only allow one single ideal length of rod?
