i wonder if anyone knows if its posible to have a trip around the factory in hinkley ??? it would make a fantastic meet up for all of us on the forum Eds the man for organising events & i think scarlet works there ?andysjt
Have PM'd Scarlet. Couldn't find a direct contact on the Triumph website so have emailed RAT, who seem to be able to have tours. WIll post up replies... Me, I'd love to go! Ed
C'mon peeps. Add name to list and I hope to be able to sort something out. I'll sticky the thread for a while so it doesn't get lost.
Great idea Andy, Count me in Ed, I was looking some time a go about going the tour think there is a waiting list, but yea great idea only thing i will not bring my bike if it is in dead of winter don't want it covered in salt,
The factory tours are only available during the week so most people will have to take a day off. I believe that the dealers get first dibs on dates available throughout the year. I for one would be very interested...
I did the tour and it's a good experience overall and chance would have it that they were building 675’s during my visit but I understand this isn’t always the case. Tour was quite interesting and wasn’t rushed or too long with it finishing in a ‘mock showroom’ displaying various Triumph goods. I actually picked something to purchase but was told to order it from my dealer as they didn’t want to take customers from them. I'm not sure if this is still the case but a few of us mentioned that an opportunity was being missed to take some coin from us…
hi guys , if your gathering a list of names im definatly on for that !!! by the way the 675 SE is fantastic . does anyone know were i can get a jardine pipe ??
I PM'd Scarlet - she works at the factory - and this is from her reply: 'They are not currently being run. But I think we are looking to start them again, sometime next year. I'll keep a listen out & let you know (alternatively, i'd suggest asking your local dealer). They'll probably give you the same answer, but may start a list of people who want to visit.' So don't expect anything too soon.
