What a day! I have fitted the forks I got for Alex last week and wanted to adjust them as to hard for me and road but thought as I now have ohlins rear and k-tech up front I may as well get the job done properly. So yesterday (lovely weather) I called kais suspension to see if they could help set up my bike as they offer a ride in ride out service, so booked in for today at 12pm. Up I get and get ready to go weather isn't to bad and of I set. I thought I would go through northwich/Warrington as is a better ride and sort of know the roads round that way, get to Warrington and the heavens opened was on two minds to go home. But thought no i'll carry on, get to Kais for 12:40 after me going round the block 50 million times trying to find it. Nice set up in you go to little shop with pictures on the wall of racers past and present all signed thanking kais for help setting up and lots of nice ohlins bits knocking around, staff are helpful and made me a cuppa and called me crazy for being out in such weather lol. I give him my keys and he brings the bike in to the workshop, in the nick of time as the heavens opened again. Now on to setting up, I get asked my weight and the lads get to work. Lad comes out and tells me that the suspension is set far to hard for my weight, he disappears in to the back and ask me to come through and sit on the bike, so can set the sag. Need about 14mm of sag as he said with the TTX units pump themselves up, and the setting it was on before had 9mm of sag and once pumped you lose 4mm he said. ( I think was alot to take in ) Any way bike now set up and cost £50 but is best £50 I've spent, the bike feels so much better. Didn't get to give it much stick as was wet but the difference was amazing looking forward to a dry test. So if your looking to have your suspension done I would recommend Kais really helpful and if I needed more adjustment were happy to help.
