Love the Bike but hated the colour of the standard wheels so had them polished and the centres painted gloss black. What do you guys think ?.

I had them done by Pit Stop a paint shop in Willenhall West Midlands who specialise in Bike Only work. They really know their stuff and are very thorough and careful in the work they do. The cost was £230.00 which included them taking the tyres off polishing/painting/refitting the tyres and accuratly balancing. When I picked them up the polishing was almost like chrome and the depth of paint is exceptional OK after use and the inevitable crap that you pick up on the back wheel the polishing has dulled a little but Autosol generally brings them back to a good standard. I did not have them laquered as Pit Stop do not recommend this and from previous experience with laquered alloy parts I would have to agree as it is much easier to polish bare alloy than It is to deal with laquer that has started to deteriorate.

Have to say, Some modifications I've seen to the 675 don't work out well. If you stated what you changed rather than showing the picture I would be skeptical. Seeing the picture have to say it's a very good subtle addition that doesn't screw the mean racing look of the bike up! I like it, very much so! The only thing I would find is keeping it polished would lead to me having obsessive O.C.D.

  5. i really like those Midgeman, look fantastic with the black paintscheme, not sure if it would work with my Graphite colour though.

I think they look good on all the colours with maybe the exception of the Yellowy/Orange (see photo of my mates Graphite) however when this photo was taken he had left the centres in the original colour but changed them later for bright red (sounds naf but they really looked the business.
