I have removed my exhaust servo and c02 sensor and replaced with a servo buddy type plug and same sort of thing for the c 02 sensor I have no engine management light on but the bike isn’t running right if I accelerate slowly it pulls smoothly through the revs but if I give it a handful of throttle it seems to die like it is struggling for air or fuel . Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this ? I do have tune ecu not really that sure how to use it . Am I looking at having to get it re mapped ?
Firstly I should say I don't have actual first hand experience of running without an O2 sensor so some of this is guesswork and anybody feel free to correct me. I wouldn't worry too much about the exhaust servo, had no negative effect on the bikes running for me at least, if anything feels better, but you could have just disabled it with Tuneecu and saved money on the servo buddy. I'm guessing that the O2 eliminator will prevent the engine management light but the ECU may still be trying to run in closed loop at lower throttle and rpm and "read" a value from the sensor. I think you'll need to disable it with tuneecu so it runs in open loop all the time and have a full remap to correct the fuelling over the entire range either with a power commander or with Tuneecu. Maybe just disabling the O2 sensor would improve things and is worth a try but I would at the very least get a basic fuelling check on a dyno for safety, as the ECU now has no way of reading or correcting any values. Hope I haven't overused the words "guesswork", "maybe", "I think"
Thank you for that , where abouts in tune ecu are the options to completely disable the exhaust servo and 02 sensor ? As I can only seem to see the option to test the units or reset the fault codes at the moment
Haven't got it with me atm to double check but think it's on the dashboard screen under devices. Just untick the options and reprogram to save it in the ecu.
