Hiya mate. The stuffs as good as it gets really. Have used it in both sheet rain and freezing conditions and I’m fairly happy (8.5-9/10). I don’t think there’s a bit of kit on the market that will keep both out indefinitely but I cant grumble at the Carve Master. Would say the Gericke jacket I had was slightly warmer but the Dainese more watertight. Only thing I would say is the zip function for attaching the jacket to the trousers is a bit of a pain in the arse and you need arms like rubber (or a lanyard as someone kindly suggested) to get them to zip together.

Bike Stop in Herts has a really good selection of the Dainese range if youre ever nearby and i'd buy from there again.

Thnx mate, I'm looking at dainese as well. Thinking of going to NEC bike show at the weekend. Heard u can get some really good deals from there. If I know wat I'm after it will make my life bit easier there.

Do u think it's a good idea to make the trip up there or better off with the place u recommended?

So I'm totally hacked off with getting p!ss wet through because my rst jacket is touring style cordura with plastic liner, and since we've moved this has been inconveniently missing. So I've been using my running pertex shell which, quite frankly, is total bollox above 5mph. So splashed out on a pretend goretex (outlast) Merlin jacket, to take me through early spring and touring NI later in the year (it's always raining on the Emerald Isle). Thanks to Nicky in clothing, at GT bikes Plymouth, nice chatting with you. I hope you join our forum with your Street Triple, maybe see you May at Hinkley? :)

I like that 675!! Let us know how that jacket performs emma-lou. I need a new jacket but I've just used Sdoc100 to rewaterproof unsure how long it will last for though

That is interesting. Think I will grab some of the thermals when they have them in our local one. I kinder like the jacket that might be a worth while bargain if it works like the article says.

Article was last year. All my kit is very old, and knackered, I'm buying new stuff, probs RST Ventilator 5s. I got a 10% off code for Sportsbikestore with Devitts insurance. As I would really like some leathers too I will save nearly the cost of the premium

    Arrgh caught me
I'd be v. surprised if they didn't punt them out again about the same time this year. I did look on the Aldi site but it wasn't showing future deals.

Well Ross, so far so good. Today's properly shi£e weather brought forth much much surface water wind+ and hail...I'm currently savouring the novel concept of warm dry winter boobs first time since summer! whilst cooking pasta and enjoying glass de vino. The rest of me, legs, Knicks, hands were shockingly cold and wet after 125 miles today, though...next purchase new gloves methinks! :) happy days oh, on proofing front I use fabsil, or tx ten, best stuff for tents, gonna be ok for cordura.

Glad it's doing it's job Emma-Lou nice to hear. You definitely need some new gloves sounds like they are just absorbing the water!! I will bear that Fabsil in mind thanks for letting me know
