  1. Isn't this photo after you have done the Big pull and you realise your Protein shake has started to make methane

Free sunny afternoon and kids in after school club - bike is still SORN'ed and in bits, so took the pushbike out for a little ride. 43 miles and a little over 3.5hrs later and bits of me are still protesting, although that does mean I'm allowed a Monday medicinal beer... [IMG] yes, Merthyr still sucks...

I have not posted for a while here but, things are slowly progressing, getting stronger. Have had some set backs already this year, unusually for me I have been ill twice which really hit me. Getting back from that has been slow.

New toy arrived today though. Going to start some overload training on Bench as I have been stuck for a while and hopefully this will help be break through.

Winter is here and it's time to start occupying myself with stuff to do. I have just got back into mountain biking and it also give me and the wife something to do together. Gym wise still slow progress being made. I am 90kg and about 5 weeks ago enter my first strongman event. It was a localish charity event and the weights were kind so I thought I'd take the plunge. Only 7 weeks to train for it I pushed hard and by 2 weeks out the body was starting to rebel. I made it though and to my surprise finished 4th from 9 in my class. Couldn't be more chuffed!

Totally bombed the first event, the log press getting no reps. I was pissed as I had done 4 at comp weight in training. I went on to be quiet consistent and even won one event.

If your thinking of doing something and are worried you can't or just apprehensive because it's new. Go for it and have fun, I bet you will surprise yourself!

Hard to believe how longs it's been since posting here. Anyway how are people getting on over this past year? Buying anything in the fitness industry has been hard but I have managed to get a little setup at home. I've got a wattbike atom for cardio and a small setup in the garage for weights.

It been interesting training at home. Have to say prefer not getting cold and covered in mud this time of year. It's probably the fittest I have been in Dec/Jan ever so at least something positive.
