That Talon sprocket is going to have to go. Looks ugly and weighs more than the Renthal. Renthal don't make them yet for the BST's though!!! Had problems fitting the disks today as the Ti bolt shoulders are 0,2mm larger than standard and wouldn't fit in the back wheel! Had to do a little machine shop work from my sick bed lol

2300 quid!!! - for wheels??? Dang, I just nearly bought a trackBIKE for $2300...!

  10. Proper bling - very jealous.
I was looking at those BST ones and also the PVM magnesium ones from Harris.
I just couldn't get a precise answer on weight saving.
Do you know how much weight they actually save?
Did you get them from HPS?

    ...And you probably won't!!

CF wheels are undoubtedly lighter though, and their real benefit is that they reduce unsprung weight AND rotational weight, helping immensely to increase the 'nimbleness' of the bike & also improving acceleration.

    ....They ARE expensive, though!

Of course, I would some of those benefits by just eating less pies. But the fatter and less attractive I get, the more lightweight and attractive I want my bike to be. Something going on there.

Front wheel I got a weight saving of 0.8Kg
    Rearwheel I got 3.1Kg
It may not sound a lot for the money I spent, will have to wait or is that weight  and see how the bike handles.
I've lost nearly 20Kg's in total now and still a few more bits to change.
Yes they are from HPS, I live in the next village and get on well with the owner so I go nowhere else now.
I may have a set of Dymags in carbon for sale after the weekend. Brand new £1600! Any takers?
