Good result considering you're learning the track/1st time out - good luck for the race. Are the elbows sharpened and ready to go for the race?

  2. To be fair there's a massive difference between me and the guys who were all out yesterday (excuses already ;) ) but they're a day ahead effiectively so I'm always gonna be playing catchup this weekend. If I can go sub 1 minute I'll be happy.

Good result Bob! All the best for today and tomorrow, conditions look a little tricky out there! I'll be watching on TSL and listening on the Radio, looking forward to being out with you all at Donington!

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  4. First race I finished 18th (5th in class) from 23rd on the grid. I was consistantly lapping in the 58's with a few 57's thrown in. Happy with that :)

That's well below your desired 1min, and some carving through the pack (unless 5x ahead of you were pushing a little too hard).
    Great start TDB.

  7. So second race for me was the B+C race. The so called nugget race o_O

From 7th on the grid I finished 7th. Was up in 5th at one point but there was four of us and fuck all between us. Great scrap.

As I came round on the slow down I was all ready to not do the Military race but I saw my mates in the holding area, quick word with the marshal and I was in.

So, Army, Navy, RAF. All different classes let loose for 11 laps. Three CB's in amoungst them ;)

Had a 11 lap scrap with a CB500, a SV650, a poorly ridden CBR600 and a pi R6. A few spots of rain late in the race helped me no end too as people knocked off the pace :D Was all ready to catch and put a move on my mate Andy Castle as the chequered flag came out  Another lap and I would have etc, etc, etc..... but finished 19th and my best lap of the day :D

Went a little quicker too with a 57.1. No 56 and it doesn't look like I'll get it either as the weather is pants tomorrow :(

I was just outside the top 20 with my Mega Laps time so group C again for me tomorrow.

Looking forward to it. Even if it rains :p

  8. Morning guys. It's a little 'challenging' outside this morning

  9. What's the saying - if it doesn't kill you, it'll make you stronger!
    (Apart from Polio of course)

  10. Not my best effort there. Went backwards from the start. Just couldn't find anything so just rode round really. Finished 22nd overall, 5th in class. Looking at the timesheet, my pace wasn't actually that bad but I just didn't have the confidence in the bike to attack those in front of me :(

It's drying up now so hopefully it'll stay that way.

  11. Well it stayed dry. Front row on the grid, I got a decent start and was third then quickly slipped to fifth.
Got back up to third and was pretty comfortable.
Then came the back markers. Making my way through them I eventually was held up between Druids and Graham Hill bend, killing my speed out and got mugged by 4th & 5th into Surtees. With just a lap left there was nothing I could do [IMG]
Slightly pissed off I was [IMG]
Great weekend though. Thoroughly enjoyed it and just gutted I'm missing the next round.
Snetterton end of April seems so far away at the moment.

  12. It was a great weekend but my poor triumph took a right battering in the wet Sunday morning warm up.....

I've got a tank like that Tommo, FYI it seems to reduce the fuel capacity quite considerably.

  14. After riding my standard 675 for the last two years on the road, jumping on this with its battered tank ready to race was just a bit strange lol

  18. Glad you are Tommo, my mate Phil's wallet took a 6k hit after his s1000rr damage 0.0

  19. Yeah I saw the picture, that's not the best way to start the season!

Where did he come off to do that?
