  5. Why?

Before everyone starts with the conspiracy theories he looked on the limit and more likely to crash.

Rossi screwed himself two weeks ago blame him cause he had the pace to disrupt Jorge if he was on front row.

Fair play - dani and Marc really rode their socks off, no games or favours there and made it quite exciting that I actually found myself secretly cheering Marquez on too...

Rossi did all he could, but was never going to jump the gap by the time he got to the back of the leaders. Got the biggest reception on the way back to the pits, but that's not what'll be in the record book eh?

I hope he's back and just as strong next year.

  7. Marquez was aggressive with Pedrosa, but didn't seem to be with Lorenzo. Although that in itself doesn't mean he was protecting Lorenzo's lead. I just wanted Pedrosa to win, and his setup was coming to him in the last few laps. Im not really bothered who won the championship between Lorenzo and Rossi. The race wasn't that interesting. It was apparent that nobody wanted to tangle with Rossi cause he was on a mission. Best race of the season was Philip Island.

  8. Marc didn't even try to pass Jorge. Not once. But when Dani tried to pass him, he pulled out all the stops to protect his new bff. If that wasn't suspect, I don't know what is.

P.s to Dani who worked his socks off in that race. I hope he does well next season, he deserves it.

  9. Would of made no difference if Dani got past and won . If everyone think MM was in it to protect Lorenzo MM would of just finished 3rd and Lorenzo still would of won. What's it with people thinking all this crap. I would of loved Rossi to win but he fucked himself over in the last race. If he could not of gapped MM in the last race he should of held out for 4th spot and at least he would not be starting from the back. Lorenzo won more races the Rossi this year so even though it pains me to say it the best man won. Rossi lost it towards the end of the year

  10. Agree MM was on limit, but in 30 laps he never tried once to dive up the inside of Lorenzo, yet he was in a similar position to when he was behind VR46 in Malaysia. Don't disagree with riding this way, as waiting for proper opportunity to pass is good riding. But he hadnt ridden like that all season and then finds a conscience at the last race.

Lorenzo won fair and square and in fact won more races this season than any other rider. If he had a bit more grace and humility then we would all be celebrating his championship and his ultimate skill as a rider. Instead we look at him as a moaning, soured faced little git, just as we did with Casey.

It is a fine line to balance between being as fast as you can and at same time playing to the media to appeal to the majority, which VR46 does very well. We need more of his type for the future if Moto GP is to continue to flourish and appeal to that wider range of people than just people that ride motorcycles. Us lot will always watch bike racing as bikes are in our blood, it's the others that like watching exciting sport that need to be enticed in and for that you need large personalities and controversy

  11. 3 things I'll take from this season.
1 - Rossi's pace today was only good enough for 4th even from the front row look at the lap sheets on Motogp.con

2 - most points wins the title not personality.

3- marquez will want to retire with most titles. He's just knocked a year of his retirement date if he was sandbagging to help Jorge.

I'll miss Rossi but I won't miss his fanatics. They make as much sense as NRA supporters after a mass shooting.

Well done Jorge best man won although I'm sorry to say I couldn't bear to watch him celebrate. Turned over as soon as he crossed the line. Sad end to what was a great season. Big thanks to Danny Kent for not making it as shit as it could have been and roll on next year.

  14. Personality doesn't win titles but no viewers means no sponsors and no money. The personalitys bring the viewers and that brings global media attention which the money men want to be involved in.

I agree Jorge deserved the title based on results but doesn't mean the viewing public will sit back and all say congrats. It's a bit like watching your football team winning yet doing so by playing boring and unattractive football. You like the fact that you are winning but your heart desires watching something that thrills and excites and it's the thrills and excites that brings those into the sport that have no specific allegiance to any one team or rider.

On wider note, congrats to Cal who actually started from back of grid and got into top 10 on a bike we know he has struggled with all season.

2016 will be great as with new tyres and electronics know one knows what will happen

  15. Marquez never looked like he wanted to pass Plastic Face, i can't help think that if it was Rossi there he would have tried some sort of banzai pass like he did in Malaysia. It's a shame Dani left it so late to charge, if he could have held on to second I think he only needed a lap to do Plastic Face too and get the win. In regards to Rossi's pace I wonder how much of that was to do with using up his tyres charging to the front, shame really.

I'd imagine the noise and sea of yellow , in Spain, in front of supposedly their own fans, brought it home to 93 and 99 (and anyone with a pair of eyes) exactly where they stand in comparison to the esteem 46 is held in. Every time he overtook someone that noise was incredible. They can only dream of that sort of adulation and after this year it's hard to believe they'll ever enjoy it. Personally going to find it hard supporting either of them in the future whether that's right or wrong I don't know but it's just the way I feel and I wouldn't describe myself as a fully paid up member of the Rossi mafia so Christ only knows what they'll be like lol

  18. I think the race had panned out differently if the championship had not been at stake. Pedrosa is the winner here imo, he really tried his best. I hope he stays healthy next season because he's proven that he can win on his own merits, the guy deserves a top class title before he retires . Marquez might very well have been on the limits but not even one attack in 30 laps is not like him at all, there's going to be a lot of speculation in his effort this race. I don't mind the fact that Rossi lost the title as much as Lorenzo gaining it, he is a brilliant racer (when dry) but a right tit.
