    Welcome

First of all I would like to welcome all visitors to 675.cc, we've existed for over 3 years and been focused on the Triumph Daytona 675. As this site is privately funded there won't be any advertising (apart from one section, but I'll get to that in a bit) or commercial influence across the site.
We have our ears listening to member wants so if you have a suggestion please let us know in the comments forum. Throughout this message is a quick(ish) rundown of the features and functions available to guide you in the right direction.

    Features

    Dealers
This section is one of our newest, if you have any positive or negative comments about any Triumph Dealers please let us know in this section. If your dealer isn't listed please email (craig@675.cc) or pm me. The more feedback we gain from our beloved dealers the more it'll help members and future visitors make decisions on where to go.

    Gallery
Possibly one of the best sections of the site, and it's a place where you can place an album and fill it with your images. It's a fairly simple system and to start of pull down the menu in the gallery section and select "create new album". This will start a step-by-step process that will get you uploading images to your own album. The first album you create will be linked to your member profile - providing a small camera button under you name for members to visit the gallery.

    [news]https://www.675.cc/upload/images/ca.jpg[/news]

    Map
Our map puts a pin anywhere in the world, each pin relates to a member. By placing your own pin you can see how far members are to you, this is especially helpful if you're looking to go for a ride and want to meet up with someone. Although the pin can be placed directly over your house, we advise you to place your pin in the general area where you live. After all, we don't want to provide a map for thieves.
To place your own pin, you need to access your user control panel (UCP). Once logged in you'll notice below the menu to the right is a direct link to your UCP, the UCP can be used to change your preferences etc...
When you're in the UCP click the "Profile" tab, then click the "Edit Map Profile" link on the left, here you'll be able to place your pin.

    [news]https://www.675.cc/upload/images/map.jpg[/news]

    Chat Room
Perhaps one of our most underrated gem on the site. Some times it's quiet other times it's busy with members chatting. By clicking on the link a window will pop up logging you into our chat room, sometimes when you log in a member name will be on the list but then it'll disappear. This is just our system updating itself as the member probably closed the window without clicking "Log out" in the pop-up window.

    Less known features

    RSS & ATOM Feeds
Maybe one of the less known features on the web site are our RSS and ATOM feeds. At the bottom of every page you'll see the 675.cc copyright text. Just above is a grey icon that looks like signals being beamed out, by clicking on that it'll bring up a wizard that will alloy you to create a feed for any forum. Useful if you're a fan of RSS / ATOM feeds.

    Topic content on mouse over
This is possibly one of the most hidden features, to save you the time of going into a post to see what it's all about we have a feature that allows you to hover your mouse over the topic, in turn this will bring up a small window with a snippet of the first few lines of the post. Not to everyone's liking so by default it's disabled, however to enable it you'll need to go into your user control panel (UCP) which the link just under the menu to the right. Then click on the "Board Preferences" tab. Select the "Edit Display Options" link on the left and then check the "Disable Text Hover" so it says "No". Click the submit button and now you'll notice the post text hovering.

    [news]https://www.675.cc/upload/images/ho.jpg[/news]

    Image Uploader
Many forums don't offer this option, but in our kind way's we do. This is another option you can use to share pictures, when you make a post or reply you'll notice a button saying "Image Uploader". By clicking this it'll open a new window / tab in you browser. Follow the simple steps and upload your picture, at the end of the upload it'll display your picture and a list of different ways to display your image in a forum. We recommend you go for the BBCode (forums) link if you wish to post it in a topic. We do allow members to use that link to post on other web sites, however just bare in mind we may stop that in the future depending on our own server restrictions.

The "+" item in the menu
We always look for easier way members can browse the forum, and when you click on the "+" button it will display all new forum posts since you last logged on, or if you're not logged in it will show all new posts regardless.

    iPhone / Android Support
Not a lot of members know this but we are tapatalk enabled on this forum. Tapatalk is a iPhone / Android application which displays forums like this in a simplified manner which helps when you're out and about accessing this forum. The application costs £1.19, and you can search for us within the application and access this site via your account. We have plans to brand the tapatalk application to our own liking offering it for free, however these are long term plans due to the cost involved.

Here at 675.cc we make next to nothing, with one aim to provide a superb community for all riders and fans. Merchandise

    Free Vinyl Stickers
We're always looking at cheeky ways to get our name around, and there's no better way other than via a vinyl sticker. We've distributed hundreds over the last few years and plan to continue sending them out. We can't guarantee when they'll be sent out as we usually send them out once we have 5 or more names on the list, but they usually arrive between 2 and 4 weeks. Have a look in out Merchandise forum for more information.

    [news]https://www.675.cc/upload/images/vin.jpg[/news]

    T-Shirts, Hoodies, Lanyards and more...
We also offer a wide range of merchandise to spread our name around the world, approximately £1 per item goes back to the site to help with server costs. Please show your support and have a browse of the Merchandise forum.

Sorry for the delay in response. We were having issues with the RSS feed. The issues have not been resolved yet, but you're more than welcome to try the feed to see if it works for you.

    The link is: <a class="postlink" href="https://www.675.cc/675/smartfeed_url.php">https://www.675.cc/675/smartfeed_url.php</a>

  4. Hi Craig

Thanks for the reply. I'm glad its not me going mad :).

This is actually very good ... but took me a while to understand what to do. I first tried using the url you gave me in my reader but got the same error.

Then I went to the actual page you gave me <a class="postlink" href="https://www.675.cc/675/smartfeed_url.php">https://www.675.cc/675/smartfeed_url.php</a>

It is a web page form. Fill in the details of the forums, etc you want in the RSS feed, go to the bottom of the page and press "generate the url". The page then generates a url that you cut and paste into the RSS reader - and low and behold the google reader shows all the 675.cc forum updates .. how cool is that! :)

    thanks again

    -Pete

  7. Great information! Thank you

So, would you send a "Free Vinyl" to the US?

if it is though, alan's sound and the bike would have been well looked after

  10. I saw it in there, I also noticed there is an entire thread just for the vinyls haha. The shop section shows them out of stock. I suppose I can add it to the wishlist for now. Wishing never really got me anything though ;)

I just updated the stock on the shop for the free vinyls. You can order them now and the order will go on a back order list. I think I still have them in stock just need to double check. Either way you'll get them ;)

Sorry, I didn't mean to hijack the thread for something that already has its own thread.

Taking delivery of a new Daytona 675 in a couple of weeks. Last had a Daytona 600 4-cylinder in the early 2000s, but have been riding an Aprilia RSV-R for the last eight years.
So.......What am I letting myself in for? By which I mean what are the things to look out for that the salesmen don't tell you. With the Aprilia, for example (and anyone who has been on an Aprilia forum will recognise these), it was the non-existent back brake, bleeding the hydraulic clutch, frequent speedo sensor replacement and general Italian idiosyncracies/lunacy.
    Ride Free.

  14. It will be a peach compared to that mate! Is it a new one? If so both so much really to worry on, some early bikes used a fair bit of oil (some used none) and some older bikes had slightly weak cam chain tensioner a but the main thing is probably Reg/rec which is definitely an issue on pre-2009 bikes.

I've had 3 Ducatis, 2 Triumphs and the Triumphs have always been pretty solid. Welcome in

I believe it is one of the last two Jack Lilley had in stock before the 2017 emissions announcement, so, yeah, a new one. Probably even a last one.
Did nearly 10k miles a year on my 2004 Daytona and it was pretty rock solid, so I am fairly optimistic, but its always good to hear what people in the real world have got to say.
