Hi All, Today while at work one off my idiot colleagues decided she wanted to reverse into my bike. Luckily she wasn’t going too fast and all it seemed to do was slightly lift the bike up and move it a tad bit back. The bike didn’t drop onto the floor or anything. I have had a quick once over and everything seems to be ok took it for a quick spin and seems to be fine. Does anybody know if there is anything that I need to take a proper look at? If she hit the front wheel, definitely get the forks checked for straightness. It's very easy to bend those. Check the lugs on the mudguard.

I don't think there is one. I guess if you had an accurate straight edge you could check for larger deviations. I only know as someone reversed into my other halfs E6 at lowish speed and that bent the forks. I'm not an expert so perhaps someone else may have an easier plan? Hope you get sorted
Sorry for the brief explanation, as you can understand I was fuming at the situation. I watched it all happen. she was doing about 5mph in reverse and she got the front tyre under her bumper. She’s got a little vw up so luckily not a big heavy car and it’s a straight boot so nothing touched the front fender or headlight cowl. To me it seemed like the bike was pushed back about 5inchs but mainly her rear flexed back to allow the tire some room and it looked like her bumper reinforcement bar is higher then the top off the tyre. I rode the bike from work to home about 10miles and everything seems fine no vibrations no pulling to one side no nothing. If I didn’t watch it happen I don’t think I would off known it had even happened. I am quite attentive in the way the bike handles and I couldn’t tell the difference but am just curious on what to look out for or to check as on my car with all the adas systems if something is out millimetres the systems don’t work Sent from my iPhone using 675.cc
From what you have said, I could well imagine that no harm has been done. As said above, visual check & how it performs would be the best gauge. The only thing I can think of that could become damaged, and may not be immediately noticed by some, is the lockstop. On my bike, which is mainly used on track these days, I have a plate to prevent the steering from turning too far. However without this, the alloy extrusion that projects from the frame is vulnerable to impact and can be broken off. Without it there is no restriction to the rotational movement of the headstock, this damage makes the bike a write off.!
